India has the world’s highest cinema hall
If we Indians are very much in love with something or rather have an addiction to it, then the number of films will come first. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, we cannot live without films. Watching films at the heights of the Himalayas, especially in cinema halls, was a difficult task. But recently a movie theatre has been started in Ladakh at an altitude of 11,562 feet. This Mobile Digital Movie Theater is the highest cinema hall in the world. It was recently started in the Paldan area of Leh for the purpose of allowing people to watch cinema in remote areas of Ladakh. The theatre opened with the film ‘Sekool’ based on the Changpa nomads of Ladakh.

The Highest Altitude Situated cinema hall in the world
This movie theatre is not made of brick concrete but made of inflatable material. This will eventually help in maintaining the temperature level. This cinema hall is waterproof as well as provide complete protection against cold weather in surroundings. Even if the outside temperature drops to -28°C, people will still be able to sit in it and enjoy the cinema comfortably. Picture time Digiplex has set up this movie theatre at an altitude of 11,562 feet. There are plans to open 4 more such cinema halls in Leh in the coming time.
Several dignitaries including renowned Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi and Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA) president Thupstan Chewang were present at the opening ceremony held at the NSD ground in Leh. The organizers have been quoted as saying that the ticket price for this cinema hall will be cheap. The film flows in our veins and now this initiative in remote areas is a commendable step. Another record from above to his name.
