Online Classes
Covid-19 creates many hurdles, one such is studying in school. Due to the Corona Epidemic, schools get closed and so most of the time of children is being spent in online classes and gaming. Due to increasing screen time, it is affecting their eyes. Staying at home, children spend eight to ten hours on electronic devices. They are either taking online classes or watching cartoons or playing video games. Parents think this is the best way to keep them busy, but spending so much time on electronic devices damages the eyes.
In the last one and a half years, about 50 percent of children have increased the problem of low vision and blurred vision. The number of their eyeglasses is increasing by 1 or .5. At the same time, the problem of irritation in the eyes has been found in up to 90 percent of children. Therefore, parents have to reduce the screen time of their children. Encourage them to read from books and let them play games as little as possible.
If the blinking rate decreases, then there is dryness in the eyes. In such a situation, there is a burning sensation in the eyes of children. Repeated rubbing with hands leads to infection in the eyes. The number is also changing. Children must take a break of two minutes every half hour.
Take care of children’s habits
During online classes
Parents should make a timetable for their children and accordingly fix the time of watching mobile, laptop and TV at the time of their class. During this, to take care of their eyes, take care of their nutritious diet and the habits of staring at the screen. The parents should understand the assignments given by the teachers and help the children to complete the assignments and homework. Take special care that with increasing screen time, children will not face any problem in their eyes. Usually, as soon as children get some time in online classes, they start watching video games, social media, or anything else on the gadgets. Therefore, parents should note that the children should rest their eyes or eat or drink something when they have a break. Make them stay away from social media.

A separate study corner
For online classes, it is most important to decide a place or room for the child where he does not have any kind of disturbance. It usually happens that children sit to study in a place where family members keep coming and going. This leads to distracting the child’s attention from studies. At the same time, important things discussed in class may be missed.
Attend the kids on breaks
One online class lasts about 30 to 45 minutes. After that, there is a break of five to ten minutes. During this, go and meet the child and encourage him to study. If he is facing any problem somewhere then finish it as soon as possible. During this, ask him if something is needed, everything is fine, there is no problem. By talking like this, children remain positive towards studies.
Be Careful
• The fan’s air should not hit the eye directly.
• The level of computer or laptop should be equal to or below the level of eyes.
• Children should blink their eyelids frequently while studying online.

• The brightness of mobile and computer should be normal.
• The place where your child study has enough light.
• The distance from the eyes to the mobile should be two feet.
