‘Kuch toh log kahenge, logon ka kaam hai kehna‘ – this song truly justifies the lyrics. This is the reality. We live in a society where we are constantly being judged and questioned. Less or more, society always has something to offer and say. As if this is their job as if they are being paid for this job. Strange!
Have we ever thought ‘what is this society?’ Well, we all know that there does exist a society, but what does this society comprise of and why does this society matter? Think about it. Why should a society matter & why should we work according to the society and the norms laid by it?

Society is in our minds
If we are scared of doing a particular thing, the thought of society comes up. Ask yourself, did the thought of society ever come up in your mind when you were happy or when you achieved something? No. When we are content, satisfied, or happy with ourselves, we hardly care or think about society. On the other hand, if ever we are unhappy, scared, or lack something, society is the first thought that knocks on the door of our mind and we, then, only think about ‘what will the society think if I fail or if I am unable to do well in my life.
No one in this world, other than our family and friends, knows what we have gone through and what is going on in our lives. No one knows about our failures or achievements. Thus, they have no damn right to evaluate us, to comment on our lives, to have an opinion on our lives, or to give us a suggestion. This ‘no one’ is the ‘society’ we talk about
You have to stop thinking about what others think. This should not matter. You and your life should matter. Focus on your life and strive hard to make your life worth living. Whatever you do, there will be a part of society to judge you. Let their reviews keep pouring in, be open to all the judgments and accept everything gracefully.
If you wish to scorn the undesirable society, set your headphones on and let them off. This is ethically decent.
