Bhagavad Gita as we all know is one of the pious books of Hinduism. It contains all the slokas that Lord Krishna told Arjuna in the battlefield of Mahabharata. We all know that before the initiation of the Mahabharat war, Arjun puts his arrow and bow down and don’t want to fight with Kauravas. According to Arjuna, how can he kill his own brothers and relatives for the sake of the crown only? He refuses to fight but his chariot Lord Krishna then shows the Virat Roop and shower the meaningful words in the form of Bhagavad Gita’s Sloka. From then onwards, Bhagwad Geeta becomes the sacred book of Hinduism.

Bhagavad Gita is Not Limited to Hinduism

But it is not limited to Hinduism only. In fact, Bhagwad Geeta is one of the most realistic books of all time. The slokas and their meaning are very important in day to day life. Whether you want a path in the distracted road of life, or you want to come out of the complicated situation in your business. Bhagavad Gita is the Complete overhaul of your life. It is the best way defined for overcoming obstacles of life. Moreover, in the field of yoga learning, you can find Bhagwad Geeta quite common. This pious Book also helps in building your personality and set yourself for life goals.

Control Your Mind and Emotions with Bhagwad Geeta’s Slokas

If you want to control your mind, emotions, and soul in the best possible way, you should go for Bhagwat Geeta. Although the whole Geeta is very helpful to change your attitude and way of doing things. It brings positivity to your mind and soul. Moreover, it is regarded as one of the best books to overcome your false desires. However, there are three slokas in Bhagwad Geeta that can help you in controlling your mind and emotions. These Slokas are from the 3rd Adhyay and the slokas are 39, 40, and 41. You can control your mind and emotions with these slokas of Bhagwad Geeta.

This is the 39th Sloka of Bhagwad Geeta from 3rd Adhyaya. According to this sloka, the thing that covers up all your knowledge and learning is lust. This lust is an unstoppable fire and if you feed it it will become worst. The lust here covers all the insatiable desires that divert you from your main goal. Your mind and emotions become out of your control by the effect of these insatiable desires. They are basically diverting you from the main issue. Whether it is the desire of bad thinking, bad doing, or bad talking you can’t achieve your goal without removing it. Also, the person stuck in the ocean of lust, can’t be able to control their mind and emotions. So, in this sloka Lord Krishna tells that what is hampering you in controlling your emotions.

Now that with the 39th sloka we came to know the enemy that stops us from controlling our mind and emotions. But the problem is to find where inside our body lust resides. So, in the 40th Sloka Lord Krishna says that Lust or insatiable desires live in mind, Intellect, and senses. They are known to be the breeding grounds of insatiable desires. From there it covers the knowledge of a person. Maybe due to the virtue of these desires, one can attain hypothetical satisfaction for a moment. But it not true. It is just covering your path so that you can’t be focused on your goal. Also, a person is unable to control the mind and emotions.

So, in the 41st Sloka of the 3rd Chapter (Adhyaya) of Bhagwad Geeta, you can get the best way to control your mind and emotions. According to Lord Krishna, if you want to control your mind, you should begin with controlling your senses. You have to be aware of what you are opting for by your senses. The controlling of senses can be a bit easier than directly controlling your emotions. Then step by step if you gain proficiency in a sense of controlling it becomes easier for you to control your mind and emotions.
