NHAI, under the Indian Government, is planning to make your trip to Dehradun from Delhi, a mesmerizing one. They are about to complete a four-lane highway project between the two cities. Most of the part of this project is almost done. As per the reports, the third phase work has to be done. This phase will include the route between Dehradun and Ganeshpur. This route is 19 km long. After completing the project, a person will complete the journey between Delhi and Dehradun in just 3 hours. Before, it takes 6 to 8 hectic hours to complete the journey. Also, it includes traffic Jams, like the situation in many places.
The features of the Proposed Delhi Dehradun expressway
This Dehradun Delhi expressway project will cover Delhi, Dasna, Sawli, Saharanpur, and Ganeshpur. It includes a four lanes expressway route along with these places. This project also builds a 400-meter double lane tunnel near “Daat Kali Mandir.” The authorities had started DPR of this tunnel.
Currently, a person willing to go to Dehradun from Delhi or vise versa must take the route that covers Delhi, Ghaziabad, Merrut, Muzaffarnagar, Roorkee, and Dehradun. Thus, the distance between these two places is around 250 kilometers. This Delhi Dehradun expressway will reduce to just 200 km with an expressway free from hustle and traffic jams.
