Unlike Earth, Uranus experience day and night for 42 years each. The reason for this phenomenon is that Sun remains in front of each pole for 42 years so both the poles are having day and night respectively for 42 years.
Uranus is 98 degrees inclined on its axis. This inclination is the major reason for the unstable atmosphere of the planet. Every time one can experience a windy atmosphere on the planet with the speed of wind touching a maximum of 900 kmph.
It is 3 billion kilometers away from the Sun. Thus the climate at Uranus is very cold. The minimum temperature recorded was -224 degree Celcius and the average temperature here is -197 degree Celcius.
Sun rays take 2 hours and 40 minutes to reach Uranus which is 20 times greater than that of Earth.
It takes Uranus 17 hours to complete a revolution on its axis. Also, one year on it is equal to Earth’s 84 years.
In the center of the planet, one can find ice and stone.
Scientists believe that the planet of Uranus rains diamonds. This is due to the larger availability of methane gas on the planet.
Uranus planet contains 27 natural satellites or moon.
