The Rape Culture is not at all a myth. It is real, prevalent, and is highly dangerous. Victims are blamed for their own assaults.
Understand the term “The Rape Culture” in words.
She is a puppet everyone believed
Her innocence was at stake
In the hands of the masculine power
Her screams hid deep down
Sad smiles proved her heartbreak
Not in love, but in forced relation
She shook with fear of that sinner
Recalled the day she was desolated
Deserted on that sinful roadway
Where no one crossed to comfort her
Drenched in his sin, she returned home
Where no one believed her pain
Her life failed without any gain
For the world she became a fighter
She closed her eyes in search of justice
A scar here
A bruise there
A soul feared
Her clothes torn apart
Her body slided in
Her dignity ripped off
She cried
She begged
She screamed
He laughed at sight
He enjoyed the crime
He relished the pain
No nudity
No revealing outfits
No roaming around
She is a victim
She becomes accused
She suffers destruction
She failed as a being
She is ashamed of a sin
She is not responsible for ….

Something that scares every women on this earth. Its not the victim that suffers actually its the whole society which suffers because the character of a society is realized with the treatment a women receives in it. Good one komal sharma..keep it up

The rape culture shows how the most subtle and everyday habits enable and sanction the gory crimes against women. It shows how rape is not an isolated event, and rapists are not from Mars. Our own society births and nurtures them. Differential treatment of the two sexes allows one sex (the male) to escape all accountability, and the second sex (the female) to carry the burden of everyone else’s blame. This poem captures the sorry situation of the victim whom society continues to fail and only adds to their degradation. Powerful work!
