Know About The Proposed Structure of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya

After a long break of 500 years, India will witness the construction of Lord Ram Temple at Ayodhya. Lord Ram was considered to be the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. According to Hindu Mythology, Lord Ram was born in Ayodhya near the Bank of Saryu. He ended the cruel regime of Ravana, the king of demons who use to live in Lanka (present Day Srilanka).

Although the journey of Ram Mandir is as difficult as Lord Ram has to suffer during his 14 years of Vanvasa (Expell from Kingdom and had to go to the jungle). It is believed that the place where Ram was born was demolished by the first Mughal Emperor Babar and he then builds a mosque at the same place. Since independence, it is the point of conflict between both Hindu and Muslim over the place of worship. From then onwards, the case was in the court.

However, in 1986, Former Indian Prime Minister, Late Rajiv Gandhi opened the gate of the sacred holy place of Hindus. In 1989, he laid the foundation of Ram Mandir. However, the major incident took place on 6th December 1992, when Hindu activities under the banner of “Vishwa Hindu Parishad” and senior BJP leader LK Advani and others demolished the 16th century Babri Masjid. From then onwards the current political party in power BJP was actively raising the issue. Finally, on 9th November 2019, the honorable supreme court of India passed the decision in favor of Ram Mandir and also grant a 5-acre area in Ayodhya to build the mosque that can help in maintaining the communal harmony of the country.

Thus, on 5 August our current Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with UP chief minister Yogi Adityanarth laid the foundation of Ram mandir, the hotspot of Hinduism. The original architectural map of the famous Ram Mandir was designed by Architect Chandrakant Sompura 30 years ago, whose father designed the sacred Somnath Temple.

New Proposed Ram mandir is based on Nagar style of architecture. All the famous temples from Himalaya to Vindhyachal was made from the Nagar style of Architecture. Somnath temple is one of the spanking examples of this type of architecture.

The new design of proposed Ram mandir increases the height of Temple from 128 feet to 161 feet from the 30 years old design. The temple shrine which is known as “Shikhar of Temple” will rise over sanctum sanctorum. Ram Mandir will be a magnificent stone structure with a three-story build on a raised platform. The temple platform is fabricated with multiple pillars, domes, and turrets. According to reports, the length of the temple is likely to increase from 268 to 300 feet and the width of the temple will increase from 140 to 280 feet. The main part of Temple or Garbhgrah is around 20 feet by 20 feet in which the statue of Ram Laala along with Laxman Ji, Sita Ji, and Hanuman Ji will be seen. The temple consists of 5 Mandapas and 5 Shikhar.

You will be amazed to know that the foundation of Ram Mandir will be laid by 3 lakh stones and one can find “Ram” name in all the 3 lakhs bricks !!!
