Remote working is the New Normal
IDC has always emphasized the profound need for #DigitalTransformation for #Industries & #Regions. However, till now, DX has been mainly seen among businesses under competitive threats such as tech-savvy industry disruptors BUT #COVID19 may be the mega-event that will drastically change such perception. Not surprisingly, late last year, IDC predicted that by 2024, 2/3 of employees in high-performing enterprises will shift from static roles to dynamic, multi-disciplinary, outcome-focused reconfigurable teams.
These predictions coupled with COVID19 event is clearly proven RIGHT when we see the mega announcements of IT giants such as #TCS which is targeting to have 75% work from home by 2025. It means almost 350,000 employees would not need any office space & NO NEED to mention that other IT giants will also likely to follow the suit confirming that #RemoteWorking will be the NEW Normal.
Though traditional technology budget takes hits such a paradigm shift in the next-gen remote work culture is expected to further push investment in those tech areas ( Infra & SW). This will increase efficiency & change business models namely #WFM Solutions, #Cloud, #DataSecurity, #VirtualWorkSpaces, #RemoteLearning #Training, #Videoconferencing, #HomeBroadband & #CollaborationSolutions, etc. !!
