How To Fight COVID19 Battle – Kerala Shows the way?
If there is ONE state in our country, which has always stand the forefront for all #preventive measures, that is none other than #Kerala. The state has been doing a lot of things right in these challenging times.
It has set up the #SouthKorean-style #COVID19 testing kiosks called #WISK (Walk-in Sample Kiosks ) to collect samples for testing.
WISK or Walk-in Sample Kiosks is a glass cabin that is always sterile so that medical staff can stand in the respective environment. This helps the medical assistant to collect the sample of throat swabs of suspicious persons by making them stand outside the cabin or WISK.
It’s interesting to note that such kiosks are locally made & takes only two days to make one with Rs. 40,000 investment. Also, in such a way, there is NO need for healthcare professionals to use Personal Protective Equipment (#PPE) while sample collection & that will greatly reduce the dependence on the PPE kits.
Hence, all in all, with such arrangements, the sample collection will become #cheaper and #easier so that more samples can be collected for testing.
I hope the other states also follow the same method of preserving PPE while expanding the #testing exponentially.
Because this is what our country needs at the moment !!
